About Me

Hi, I am Nancy Paz Welsh,  a bilingual (English & Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) virtually based in Maryland and Virginia. I am proudly a second-generation American of Salvadorian descent who is deeply committed to advocating for mental health awareness and normalizing therapy as a vital part of overall well-being.

I enjoy helping individuals, couples, and family navigate life’s challenges. My approach is rooted in evidence-based modalities such as: CBT, EMDR, Person-Centered. I believe in creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.

I work with people facing a wide range of issues, from anxiety, depression, and trauma, to relationship difficulties and life transitions. My goal is to build a trusting, collaborative relationship with you so we can explore your concerns at your pace and develop tools for lasting growth.

I understand that beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and I want to reassure you that I’m here to meet you where you are—without judgment. My style is warm, empathetic, and practical, and I aim to help you feel both supported and challenged in a way that’s right for you. Whether you’re struggling with overwhelming emotions or simply looking to create a more balanced life, I’m committed to helping you navigate this journey with compassion and insight.

If you’re ready to explore new perspectives and start making changes, I’d love to help you take that first step!

Outside of my work as a therapist, I’m passionate about cooking, reading, video gaming, gardening, and fishing. In my free time, you’ll likely find me either in a quiet corner hiding from my kids’ reading, catching up on my favorite TV shows, or making new memories with family. These activities help me stay grounded and connect with the same sense of balance I encourage my clients to seek.

I’ve always been deeply curious about human connection and well-being, which led me to pursue a career in therapy. My own life experiences have shaped my understanding of the importance of mental health, self-compassion, and growth. I truly believe that therapy is a space where healing and transformation can take place, and I’m honored to be a guide in that process for others.

I live in Maryland with my lovely husband, silly toddler, sweet infant, and three amazing pups (toy poodle, malti-poo, and terrier mix) .I believe in living authentically and striving for personal growth—just like the clients I work with. My experiences have taught me that life is a journey, full of both challenges and opportunities, and I’m grateful to be able to walk alongside others as they navigate their own paths.
